Small Changes, BIG Results!

I swear that whoever picked out the hardware for the kitchen and downstairs bathroom was an 80 year old woman at heart.  I mean really, white porcelain handles and knobs with flowers painted on.  Simple horrible.  They weren't our taste at all.  I really wanted something sleek and modern in both rooms.

The Kitchen

Here's the hardware the came with the house when we first bought it.  See what I mean by not our style!

Kitchen

We'd been keeping an eye out for hardware that we liked whenever we would go to the hardware stores, but handles and knobs are sooooo expensive!! Who knew!  We finally opted to get bulk packs of some handles that we liked and boy what a change!! LOVE IT!

New vs. Old
 What do you think?

Hello new handles!
In with the new and out with the old.

Some old. One new.

All new and sooooo much better!

The whole exchange took about a half hour and the improvement is amazing!

The Downstairs Bathroom

We had the same problem in the downstairs bathroom.  Old lady knobs.  Again white porcelain with painted flowers.  Since the downstairs bathroom is where the boys get ready, I thought we needed to man things up a bit in there.  Flowers aren't exactly a guy thing.

Old Lady Knobs

How manly

I got the new knobs for FREE!! What a deal!  Thanks, Dad.  Hope you're enjoying your retirement.

Which do you prefer?

The whole change only took about ten minutes and it's such a great improvement.  Grant was so happy to see the old knobs go and he totally digs the new ones.

New more many knobs!

So shiny!
The new knobs even happen to match some of the bathroom accessories we already had.  Prefect!

Both changes took so little time and little to no money and the changes were so drastic!  LOVE it!
